Welcome To Wiki!

An interactive site for the students of Ms. Hansen

As we have discussed in class, all users of this site possess the same ownership. Therefore, we have agreed:

to refrain from defacing the site

A couplet is 2 lines of poetry that usually rhyme. Here is an example:

Like a bird, I wish I could fly

For there are no borders in the sky.

by Ms. Hansen

You can combine couplets to create a larger poem, such as "Three Things To Remember" by William Blake:

A Robin Redbreast in a cage

Puts all of Heaven in a rage.

A skylark wounded on the wing

Doth make a cherub cease to sing.

He who shall hurt the little wren

Shall never be beloved by men.

 robin                                         skylark                                      wren

As you can see, Blake's 6-line poem is made up of 3 couplets.

Your wiki assignment is to choose a subject and write a couplet about it. Your 2 lines must rhyme. We will view the couplets on Friday, 1/25.
