Onomatopoiea are words that imitate sounds, such as the bees buzzed, the horns honked, or the witches cackled. Your assignment is to write a paragraph of any household chore you perform, using a minimum of 5 examples of onomatopoia. Here is my example:

 

     My cat purrs as the brush shushes through his fur. The surrounding air crackles with static electricity and a spark pops between my finger and his ear. He meows in surprise and plops belly-up onto the floor, his claws swishing through the air like sharp knives.  -Ms. Hansen
